Pam Hansel Jang
Artist
The artist behind Pam Arte Studio was born on October 23, 1991, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, and hails from Jos South Local Government Area. He began his early education at Air Force Primary School, Jos, and later attended Bethany Christian Academy, Barkin Ladi, for his secondary studies.
In 2009, he gained admission into Ahmadu Bello University, where he studied Fine Arts and graduated in 2014. He further advanced his academic journey with a master’s program at the same institution, deepening his research into painting techniques and artistic expression.
Over the years, he has developed a distinctive artistic voice, exploring landscapes and abstract compositions that combine strong visual aesthetics with emotional depth. Initially working primarily with oil on canvas, his practice has evolved through the discovery of the masking technique—an innovative process that incorporates masking fluid alongside watercolor and ink. This technique allows him to experiment with transparency, negative and positive spaces, and layered storytelling, often reflecting themes of human experience, nature, and personal narrative.
His career has been marked by steady growth, recognition, and impactful collaborations. He has participated in several workshops and exhibitions across Nigeria, including the Khaz-Customs Wrap Workshop (2019), Here and There (2020), and Ominira at Landmark Gallery. In 2020, he co-hosted an exhibition titled The Inexorables.
A major milestone came in 2021 when he pitched his art business on the television reality show Lions’ Den, securing investment from Paul Onwuanibe, CEO and founder of Landmark Group. This partnership enabled the expansion of Hansartss Studios, combining financial support with strategic expertise.
Between 2021 and 2024, he served as the official artist for Landmark, collaborating with leading brands and spaces such as Landmark Ecosystem and Beach Resort, Chapel Hill Denham, Laygos Seafood Lounge, Kid’s Club, Coffee & Co., and Rengier Media Limited (Pulse), among others.
During this period, he presented two notable solo exhibitions: Lagos and Landmark (2022) and From Eko with Love (2023). In 2024, he also participated in the International Arfrikin Art Fair, held alongside the globally renowned Art Basel Miami.
In 2025, he rebranded under the name Pam Arte Studio, reflecting the evolution of his artistic identity and a renewed commitment to expanding his creative language. Today, he continues to grow, innovate, and inspire through his dynamic and contemporary painting styles.
